Pelican Brewing Company honored with seven medals at the North American Beer Awards
Pacific City, Oregon (June 5, 2017)—Pelican Brewing Company this weekend landed a Trifecta winning Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals from the North American Beer Awards. Pelican’s highly-decorated MacPelican’s Wee Heavy captured another Gold while six additional brews snagged silver and one bronze: Gold Medal: MacPelican's Wee Heavy Silver: Kiwanda Pre-prohibition Cream Ale Beak Breaker Double IPA Tsunami Export Stout Stormwatcher's Barleywine-style Ale Citricumulus Belgian-style Citrus Pale Ale Bronze: Umbriago Cerveza Negra The North American Beer Awards is sanctioned by the North American Brewers Association and takes place in Idaho Falls, Idaho in conjunction with the Mountain Brewers Beer Fest. It is a unique industry competition that judges the best beers in the country by style guidelines.
