The Pelican Brewing Company story started over two decades ago—right there on the same stunning stretch of beach. And Team Pelican wants to share its spectacular home with couples who are starting their own new story together.

Pelican not only offers the best beach access on the Oregon Coast, but the brewery staff excels at planning all the details for a private, intimate ceremony and celebration. Pelican offers a spacious oceanfront banquet room, private beachfront for outdoor ceremonies, award-winning beer and unique local cuisine.

As a part of the Kiwanda Hospitality Group, Pelican also offers a number of different lodging options for event guests—from luxury oceanfront rooms at the new Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa to the boutique oceanview rooms at Inn at Cape Kiwanda and private houses for rent through Shorepine Rentals. Guests can even rent luxury Airstream travel trailers at Hart’s Camp—an offbeat lodging option right across from Pelican.

Oceanfront Reception

The floor-to-ceiling windows in Pelican‘s wood-trimmed banquet room showcase stunning views of the ocean, Pacific City’s own Haystack Rock, and Cape Kiwanda, with ample space for 40 to 90 reception guests. While the Pelican vibe leans toward casual, event staff know how to dress the space up for the most elegant of wedding events.

Beach Ceremony

Because Pelican offers access to a privately-owned beach area directly in front of the brewpub, wedding planners don’t need to bother with additional licenses or permits—Pelican event staff has it handled. They’ll even rope off the special area to keep the celebration private and open only to event guests.

The Perfect Pairings

The brewery is internationally known for award-winning craft beers and innovative food and beer pairings that enhance the flavors in every dish and brew. The venue offers a range of simple to extravagant menus, each designed by Pelican’s classically-trained chef using locally sourced ingredients. Six house beers are always available on tap, along with rotating seasonal and specialty selections. Pelican also serves a wide variety of house wines and champagne and allows event planners to bring their own. Liquor can be purchased on a per-drink basis.

Catering—From formal sit-down dinners to casual meet and greets, Pelican’s award-winning culinary team will help plan the perfect menu to meet your needs.

Event Planning—There’s a lot more to planning an event than just planning the menu. Team Pelican helps connect guests to other local businesses providing floral arrangements, sound systems, photographers, live entertainment and just about anything else you can dream of.

Lodging—Pacific City offers most every style of accommodation imaginable. Ask about the new luxury hotel, 3-bedroom oceanfront cottages, charming ocean view boutique hotel, beach house vacation rentals and even the rentable Airstream trailers.

Unique Event Venues

Pelican Room—A combination of the Outrigger Room and the Haystack Room, this is our largest event space and can handle a reception for up to 90 guests or meetings for up to 50 guests.

Haystack Room—The Pelican Room can be sectioned off into two smaller event spaces. The beachfront Haystack Room includes a large gas fireplace and accommodates a banquet of up to 40 guests or meeting for 20 guests.

Outrigger Room—The remaining portion of the Pelican Room is the Outrigger Room. With beachfront access, this is ideal for business meetings and accommodates 20 guests.

Outdoor Patio and Beach—Our outdoor patio and beachfront are adjacent to the Pelican Room and can be reserved for special events including picturesque wedding ceremonies on the beach.

Barrel Room—The Pelican Barrel Room, located just inside the brewery, is occasionally available for rental on a per-request basis. The stacked wood barrels and working brewery atmosphere make this a fun location for cocktail receptions up to 30 guests.
